Pastor Michael A. Scott Bio
Reverend Michael A. Scott Jr was born and raised in the Houston area. Reverend Scott is a 1997 graduate of the legendary Conrad Johnson Kashmere Sr High School. On November 11, 2006 Reverend Scott preached his first sermon titled “A Courage to Fight On” at Willing Workers Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor James C. Carrington Jr. Reverend Scott immediately pursued his quest for knowledge of Christ academically and scholastically. During Reverend Scott’s time at the Willing Workers Baptist Church he was involved in several ministries. Reverend Scott assisted in the youth ministry, young adult ministry and also helped to develop a singles ministry at the Church.
On May 30, 2021, Reverend Scott went right into action to develop and organize Greater Cathedral of Faith Church-Houston. Reverend Scott’s mission in organizing the Church was a simple one “Let’s Bring the Church Back to The People.” Reverend Scott’s passion for the Church and the people has made a significant impact in the community and those he comes in contact with.
Reverend Scott currently has a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Biblical Counseling and Bible Study Methods from the College Of Biblical Studies in Houston, Texas. Pastor Scott acquired his Master of Arts degree in Philosophy from Houston Baptist University. Reverend Scott is currently pursuing his 2nd Master of Arts degree in Theological Studies at Houston Baptist University and later a PHD/Doctorate.
Reverend Scott desire is to see the people of God grow in the knowledge of Christ and be of service to mankind. Reverend Scott’s favorite scripture is “Being confident of this very thing, that he that begun a good work in you shall perform it until the day of Jesus Christ” Phil. 1:6

Greater Cathedral of Faith is a church dedicated to fulfilling the Biblical Word. We strive to accomplish the mission by exemplifying the life, the Word and the teachings of Jesus Christ and by providing worship experiences, Bible studies and ministries which ministers to situations and circumstances in our lives and the communities in which we live.
Purpose
Purpose
We seek to transform the lives of adults, youth, and young adults through teaching life application of the Bible and maintaining a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. To develop disciples with doctrinal teachings through the Word of God. Foundational scriptures teach that we should go and make disciples teaching them to observe all things baptizing them in the name of the Father the Son and the Holy Ghost. All programming, outreach initiatives, Bible studies and worship services focus on assisting members, regular attendees and those who have not accepted Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior on how to begin, maintain or enrich their personal relationship with Him and apply Biblical principles to their everyday living. We strive to reach out to all people regardless of their race, creed, nationality, denomination or church affiliation.
